Early British Trackways. By Alfred Watkins. (Simpkin, Marshall and Co., Ltd., 4s. 6d. net.). The Author has made an interesting discovery: viz., that in ancient times tracks and roads were laid out on a system of sighting points; mounds, moats, camps, castles and churches were all lined up in straight lines with a hill peak or natural object at the end. This discovery will add new zest to field rambles and scouts’ outings.
