The name of Alfred Watkins is very well known to photographers as the inventor of a system of exposure calculation and exposure meters, but his new book on Early British Trackways will be appreciated by a very large public. It treats with the early British trackways, moats, mounds, camps and sites, and is a revelation of a systematic planning of trackways and camps long before the Romans made any attempt to build the roads which have made them famous in Britain. The numerous and charming illustrations prove Mr. Watkins to be an artist of some merit, and photographers from this country when visiting any part of England cannot fail to be interested in the many interesting places described in the book.
Copies may be obtained from The Watkins Meter Co., Hereford, England. Price 4/6, postage extra.
