I WAS SURPRISED that the photographer printed this snap but since he thought it worth while it is included here. As mentioned on the previous page it was taken from the hill dominating Srinigar and from its summit a complete view of the lakes presents itself. The extent of the eastern end of Lake Dal can be dimly perceived from the line of hills in the background, and I believe that a row of houseboats are moored in the bottom left-hand corner. Visibility was poor when this snap was taken but having climbed 1,000 feet with my camera I wasn’t coming down without making an effort.
