Modern computing power makes it possible to do what could not be done in the original Linear Dream, namely to find and draw all alignments among a set of several hundred random points.
This computer-generated image shows the result of randomly placing 300 sites within the area of an OS 1:50,000 map (40 × 40 km) and drawing all alignments of order 4 or more, with the ley width taken as 0.02 mile.
1071 alignments were found.
With 400 ley points, and ley width 0.01 mile, leys of order 4 and above form a similar complex (in a simulation, 955 alignments were found).
