About

My early life was spent in Buckinghamshire, and then studied Physics as undergratuate and postgraduate level in Cambridge (Google the "Cole-Windsor function" to see what my research work involved). After university I moved to Surrey to commence a career in software development and for most of that time I worked on software for Air Traffic Control systems that are in service throughout the world.

I have had a lifelong interest in photography which I often combine with my other interests of aviation and travel. I consider myself very fortunate to have visited a lot of places in the world in the 70s and 80s before mass tourism arrived.

I have been a long time Canon user, currently using an EOS 7D Mk II as my main camera. My aviation photography work has featured in the UK and European aviaton press.

On my website here you can see some of my work in the areas of aviation, travel and wildlife. If you would like to see more of my work plase visit my page on Flickr.
