Sir,—The writer of the letter, K. T. Gemmell, in your issue of April 7th, may be interested in a report of the County Surveyor of Hertfordshire as to Roman and Pre-Roman roads in that county, issued on May 18th, 1912, reference C.P. 176, 1912–13. I think the cost is under 2s. 6d. This is very complete and has a map attached.
The autograph of Charles Dickens can be readily obtained in London. There is a cheque of his for sale in a second-hand
bookshop in Holborn (or is it New Oxford Street?), nearly opposite Museum Street, North end.—Yours, &c.,
