A VIEW OF THE WATERCOURSE at Nishat Gardens taken from the black marble pavilion. Admission to the gardens is free but on your way out a gardener confronts you with a button-hole for which you proffer a few annas. We always visited the gardens by shikara although they were connected by the round which encompassed the lakes. On our first visit to the gardens we had a pot of tea in a dilapidated marquee outside which cost us the princely sum of one rupee (ls/6d) each.
