ANOTHER VIEW OF SHALIMAR taken from a quiet corner behind a bed of larkspur. Many of the borders at the time we visited the gardens were of violas and pansies, but almost all the well known English flowers were represented including such favourites as lavender and honeysuckle. Forget-me-nots were in great profusion at Nishat Gardens but when we proposed to pick one or two at Shalimar (against all precepts laid down by the marajah) we carried out an intensive search without success.
