{150} Map 4: In 1045, the year of the hermit Günther’s death, the line Domažlice–Prague is extended 22 km beyond Prague when Duke Břetislav founds the collegiate chapter of Stará Boleslav (1). 1054 sees the foundation (Bishop Anton Frind of Litoměřice says here “reputedly”) by Hermann von Roll, who according to another source was a German from the Wendish country, of a Benedictine monastery near the modern Mnichovo Hradiště (2); he fills it with German monks from Dornach. This Hermann thus extends the line Nieder-Alteich–Prague by 66 km. Collegiate foundations arise in Litoměřice (3) in 1057, and Mělník (4) in 1086.
