{148} Map 2: In 999 is founded the monastery of St. John on the Island (where the Sázava flows into the Vltatva), also known as Ostro (1). It is 22 km south of Prag. From here hermits go to St. John under the Cliff (pod Skalou) (2) near Sedlice on the river Loděnice, 22 km from both Ostro and the sacred site in Prague. Priories of Ostro are sited at Slaný (3), 44 km from Ostro on the extension of the straight line Rajhrad–Prague; Domažlice (4), on the extension of the line Prague–St. John under the Cliff; and Zátoň (5) on the north-south line running out from Chcebuz over Prague and Ostro.
